A little about me... My professional work in photography began as a hobby...as I imagine many careers do.   I began my college education at UC Santa Cruz majoring in Theater Arts and Language Studies.  I wanted to be a multilingual actress.  After the "San Francisco" earthquake in 1990 I moved back home to the San Fernando Valley and shifted my focus.  I ended up with a bachelor's degree in Deaf Studies with an emphasis in the Arts and Education,  and a professional teaching credential for teaching Kindergarten through 9th grade from CSU, Northridge.  I went on to earn my master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Phillip's Graduate Institute in Encino, CA .

That doesn't even include my side jobs of making tie dye clothing, jewelry and chocolate bark.

As a child,  I learned how to appreciate the beauty in the world around me by following around my incredibly talented Mom and borrowing her Minolta Maxxum whenever she'd let me. My favorite work is photographing children.  I strive to capture the spirit, the sparkle in the eye of each child I work with.  For years I got plenty of practice with my own two daughters who patiently allowed me to use them as my subjects.

I live in Southern California with my partner of 17 years,  and our two beautiful daughters.
